In the early 80s, Ross virtually monopolized the cocaine market in Los Angeles, making $2-3 million per week according to Allhiphop.com. However, his 20-year sentence was appealed after the San Jose Mercury News infamously outed the C.I.A. for its role in funding a Nicaraguan conflict by selling drugs to black communities.

Ross has also made public his contempt for Miami rapper, and namesake, Rick Ross for taking his name without permission.

"After seeing all the stuff that has been going on with the Correctional Officer that stole my name," 'Freeway' Ricky Ross said to Allhiphop, "[it] makes me think back to a year and a half ago when we spoke. I tried to talk to him like a big brother and let him know to be you, and that he couldn't be me."

Ross reportedly plans to write a tell-all book soon.

C-Murder Plans Conviction Appeal, New Album

Former No Limit Records artist Corey "C-Murder" Miller will be appealing his murder charge conviction, which was given last month . The racists have gone so far as to put up a billboard stating 'Corey Miller is guilty.'"

Director of Online Marketing for RBC Records, Brett Morrow, has likewise explained that C-Murder believers are planning to take action in order to show their support.

"We have contacted the NAACP and are currently organizing the community for several protests of his arrest," Morrow said. "We hope to have Corey home soon and once and for all vindicated in the court of law."

In related news, RBC Records will be releasing a new album from C-Murder entitled Calliope Click on September 29. The album's first singe, "It's So Hard," has recently hit the Internet.
